She was born 18, August 1927, in American Fork, Utah to Rulon Elliot Greenwood and . Gladys Smith. Marilyn graduated from Provo High School in 1946 and attendk f ed Brigham Young if? loved Nolan the outdoors, especially the family ranch in Wanroads. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, camping and traveling with friends and family. An active member of the LDS church he was a High Priest in the Hobble Creek First Ward. He had also served as a Gospel Doctrine teacher. High Priest group leader, and a Home Teacher for 73 years. He also worked in the Provo Temple. He worked for the Springville Police Department as a patrolman and also at the State Hospital. During the construction of Geneva Steel he worked as a guard, then converted to a car man and welder in the locomotive car shop. He retired in 1974. He was a founding member of the Hobble Creek Riding Club, where he served in many leadership positions, helping to build four arenas, riding in many shows, parades, trail rides and competitions. He was an avid reader of church history, digests, archeology and all western novels. A loving husband and father he enjoyed family parties and reunions. He is survived by his wife, Aileen, three daughters and four sons: Myrna Lee (Dean) Tew, Mapleton: Howard V. Weight, Morgan Hills, California; Melvyn R. (Janet) Weight, Springville; Barry A. She enjoyed the arts and the theater and was especially fond of art museums. She also enjoyed learning about other cultures and traditions. On March 9, 1971. she married Keith L. Carter in the Salt Lake Temple. Since their marriage, they have made their home in Provo. They served a service mission for the LDS Church in its Motion Picture Studio, where they assisted in the filming of "The Lamb of God" and "Mountain of the Lord." Marilyn worked for 18 years at the Universal Campus Credit Union in Provo. During the last eight years of her employment, she supervised the Member Services Department and retired in 1991. Marilyn is survived by her husband. Keith L. Carter of Provo: her son Terry F. Scott of Los Angeles. California, and her son Ronald P.
