Show BINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL NEWS by Athena Floros DANCE CONCERT COMING FRIDAY, APRIL 28 Original.ty plus is the pattern set for Bingham High School's 1961 Dance Concert. Such varied choreographies choreo-graphies ranging from 1920 flapper flap-per day to racial prejudice will be performed. James Prigmore, student stu-dent composer, will be accompanying accompany-ing the dancers at the April 26th performance. The dancers under the direction of Mrs. Virginia H. McDonald, have been preparing for the concert for two months. Those doing choreographies include in-clude Kalhy Simkins, Jeri Tremell-ing, Tremell-ing, Nikkie Jimas, Michael Ann Creedon, Tina Boren, Betty Mae Winn and Athena Floros. SENIORS TAKE TEST All seniors received a district standardiized test thit week that included self knowledge in the areas of grammar, reading comprehension, comprehen-sion, math, and vocabulary. Seniors in both Bingham and Jordan High Schools were required to take the test. BASEBALL In high school baseball action, ' the Miners were defeated Tuesday afternoon by Cyprus High. Thursday Thurs-day (yesterday) the team played at Murray High School. The Miners' nine play host to Tooele here Monday, April 1 7th, and travels to Jordan High on Friday, Fri-day, April 21st. TO ATTEND MEET Brigham Young University at Provo will be scene Friday and Saturday Sat-urday for the state drama and interpretive in-terpretive meets. Several Bingham High School students have qualified to participate. MODEL UNITED NATIONS The Model United Nations is conveneing once again this year on Friday, April 14 (today) and Saturday, Sat-urday, April 1 5, to discuss the present wordly crisis. This year, because of our high ratings in last spring's general assembly, we have been awarded the honor of representing repre-senting two areas, the Mali Federation Federa-tion and Haiti. Being both African states, Bingham will once again remain re-main in the conflicting circuit of highly debated African problems. 1,100 high school students at the seventh annual assembly will be presided over by J. D. Williams, the president moderator and professor pro-fessor of political science at the U. The Model Assembly culminates the UN study program which has been going on in the state's high schools since September. Each delegation dele-gation has prepared resolutions and comments suitable for presentation at the Assembly. RED CROSS I Decorating the recreation center at Veterans Hospital Wednesday evening were several members of the Junior Red Cross. PARTICIPATE IN ANNUAL METROPOLITAN SCIENCE FAIR Five students from Bingham High School participated in the annual Metropolitan Science Fair held Wednesday and Thursday last week at the University of Utah Union Building. The students and their projects were: Sidney Sandstrom, Lark, on Amoeba; Robert Moulton, I Lark, system of the Artemia Falina; Everett Byington, Bluffdale, elementary elemen-tary paiticles of physics; and Kathy Culbertson of West Jordan and Marilyn Dalley, Lark, genetics nd heredity.
