Provo, Utah Local drama teacher on national board ; 0 - Sff s ft Orem. resident Lynn Frost is serving as a member of the governing board of the Educational Theatre Association for the 1990-S- 1 academic year. Frost is the theater arts director and Thespian troupe sponsor at Mountain View High School Frost's responsibility, as a member ef the governing board, is to initiate policies and establish procedures for the organization. Frost was named Utah's "Most Influential Educator,' for VM by KSL TVCteseret News. TJcrortu! life,' musical melodrama cpsns - or It's A Wonderful life Winging In The Holidays," another festive musical melodrama opens at Desert Star Playhouse in Mur- ray. It has been adapted from the Philip VanDoren Stern short story, "The Greatest Gift,"' and the movie, "It's A Wonderful Life," will open Friday at The Desert Star Playhouse, 4861 S. State in Murray, and will continue until Saturday, Jan. , .' ' 5. Desert Star's adaptation follows the warmhearted story of George Bailey and his struggles to save the Bailey Building & Loan and the whole town of Bedrod Falls from the financial villainy of Henry Pot- ter and his spoiled yet loyal son, Junior. After squeezing through the depression and managing to keep the Building and Loan afloat, George Bailey's reputation is threatened when his Uncle Billy misplaces a very important deposit.
