Although he has been successful and loved the work, he found the training labor intensive and limiting. "You can only train one dog at a time" he explained. "Training 10 hours a day is like working 30 hours a day. I had to figure out a way to duplicate myself." The obvious answer was video. But Dexter waited until video production methods improved, to actually make his first video. He plans a series of 23 videos on subjects ranging from housebreaking to drug detection. "I've, finished a video on : housebreaking and I am editing obedience training. It will be a series of five. People will be able to work with the first one and three weeks later get another. "By the time they are through they should have dogs that will work very well." Purchasing a video will cost about a tenth of the cost of hiring a professional trainer, Dexter said. "I had a school for trainers at one time. Most of them have become successful with their own businesses. I am taking the same principles and teaching them in videos. I will be teaching viewers how to be a trainer. "If they follow the video, doing everything I do, they Gart Bros.
