Mrs. Fred Winther of Salt Lake City spent the week-en- d and Mrs. Elmer Simmons of Manti visited on Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Haynes and family of Provo visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Haynes on " Sunday. Mrs. Harry Irons spent Lamb Day in Fountain Green visiting with her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Cook. Also visiting at the Cook home were Miss Elsie Ann Cook and a friend of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Effie Mae Sackett of Nephi announces the engage- - ; - ment of her daughter, Velda to Jim Nelson, son 6f . Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Nelson of Sacra-ment- o. California. No definite date has been set for the wed-ding. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Jarrett and two grand sons Steven and Gary Jarrett spent July 24th in Kearns visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Kay and Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Price. Mr. "and Mrs. Earl Jones and family of Tooele, who have been in Washington with the National Guard, visited with her brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Thayne Jarrett over the week end. Mrs. Jones and family will remain for an extended visit. They all visited in Ephraim on Sunday with their brothers, In law and jind Mrs. Ralph Lund, Hall, and a special guest, Ida Memmott Carol Lee Bosh of Spring City spent the week end with her grandmother, Mrs. Hazel Bosh. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bowers visited in Payson with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bowers and In Spanish Fork with Mr. and Mrs. John Larsen on Sunday. Mrs. Jayne B. Springer and daughter Teresa of Salt Lake City spent the week end with her mother, Mrs. Wanda Bur-ridg-e. Marsha Anderson returned to her home in Salt Lake City after spending the past two weeks with her grandmother, Mrs. P. N. Anderson. Mrs. Wllford Belllston, Mrs. L. W. Jenkins and children, and Mrs. F. H. Beckstead vis-ited in Salt Lake City with Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. Smith and family, and with Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Williams and fam-ily in Brigham City several days last week. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Worth-ingto- n were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. P Larsen and son David, and daughter Mis. Carol Campbell and daughter Linda, all of Boise, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Wright entertained in honor of their son Lee on his third' birthday anniversary on Sunday. Din-ner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Theo Westring and daughter Colleen and son Jerry. Eagar over the week end were their nieces Miss Carol Eagar and Miss Sharon Ashcroft of Eagar, Arizona who are attending the Brigham Young University. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra H. Thompson of St. George and Marsden Cazier of Salt Lake City visited on Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. James H. Eagar. Visiting' with Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Fowkes during the rec-ent Ute Stampede week end were Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Park of Warm Springs, Ore-gon, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Fowk-es and son Johnny of Compton, tained at the City Park in honor of her son. The honored guest and 15 little friends en-joyed refreshments. Mrs. Mary Burraston and children of Salt Lake City are spending the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Bailey.
