A reception Hunter set apart Howard W. Hunter was set apart Thursday as president of the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. Hunter was set apart by Church President Ezra Taft Benson during a meeting of General Authorities of the church in the Salt Lake Temple. Hunter succeeds the late President Marion G. Romney, who succumbed May 20 after a lengthy illness. President Hunter had been the acting president of the Council of the Twelve since October, 1985. LDS movie honored The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints has re- ceived a CINE Golden Eagle Award for its motion picture "How Rare a Possession-Th- e Book of Mormon." The announcement was made by the Council on International Nontheatrical Events (CINE) in Washington D.C., a nonprofit organization that se- lects outstanding American films for entry in foreign motion picture events. Produced by the church in 1987, "How Rare a Posses-sion"depic- ts the origin and coming forth of the Book of Mormon and its influence on two diverse individuals an American, Parley P. Pratt, and an Italian Protestant minister, Vincenzo Di Francesca. When the motion picture aired over Utah's KBYU in November, 1987, it drew the largest audience ever registered by a public television station in the United States.
