Strong hosted a family dinner at Oak Crest Inn, Oct. 29, on the occasion of the 50th wedding anniversary of their par- ents. Bert and Harriett were married Oct. 26, 1938 in the Salt and greatgrandchildren, they enjoyed a . weekend river trip in Flaming Gorge in September and a family get together on Oct. 2G celebrating their anniversary. They are the parents of seven children: Don R. Strong and Mrs. Kenneth (Roslyn) Averett, both Springville; Mrs. Jim (Suzanne) Wiscombe, grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest A. 'Bert' Strong r, Saissi. The bride-elegraduated from Orem High School and has worked as a nanny in New Jersey for the past year. They were married Nov. 2, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The were honored Oct. 29 at a dinner at the Spanish Fork Social Center by immediate family and close friends.
