Each year nearly 2,000 cases of child abuse and neglect in Utah County are reported to the Division of Child Services or the police. Many cases involve more than one victim. The Children's Justice Center is a home-likfacility that serves children and families who are dealing with the disclosure of significant physical and sexual abuse of a child. The Child Advocate Program is designed to support children who have been through the child abuse investigation. A child advocate's role is to be a friend, a positive influence, and a reliable and consistent presence in the life of a child.
