Provo, Utah-P- age 15 In American Fork New Senior Citizen Center Going Up - AMERICAN FORK Construction of a new senior citizen center in American Fork moved a little closer to tatlon of a $1,000 check to the building fund adding an extra boost, and with contracts for the razing of the old building and contraction of the new center already awarded. Jerry Barratt, a local businessman, presented the check to LeRoy Griffin, president of the senior citizens organization, and Mr. Griffin said the new center will be the culmination of years of work and plans by numerous r "CI 1 If people. Councilman Norman Shumway said Tingey's Enterprises, Inc. was awarded the demolition contract, promising to do the work for less than $4,000. Razing of the old building began Friday. Salvage of the bricks, which would take extra time to sort and recover, was not considered because of the time element, according to Mr. Shumway.
