Today the junior golfers are at Schneiter's golf course in Sandy. Age divisions are boys - Utah Junior Team. Age groups and day of play: girls, Thursday; 3 7 boys, Thursday; boy, 7 boys, Thursday; girls, Friday; 1 and 5 boys, 16-1- 7. The GL Insurance Junior Golf y Classic will be played at Golf Course, American Fork, Thursday and Friday. Entry fee is $3 for 18 holes, $2 and for nine holes. Girls er Tri-Cit- 12-1- 10-1- 15-1- 14-1- top honors in the net division, followed by Kelly Savage, Stand Thompson and Larry Gillilan. Rod Jensen won the men's B flight gross division, with Rick Low, Glade Steiner and Del Hog-lan- d following. AMERICAN FORK-- Six golfers were winners in the fourth annual Merchants Tournament played golf Saturday at the course in American Fork. Prizes were awarded to the low gross and net scores in A and B flights for both men and women. Earlier in the year, Baseball America ranked the WAC's San Diego State first and BYU third. College World Series champ Texas finished in the number one spot in this final poll. The sixth ranking is the highest spot in the poll for any world series team. Arizona State, .who beat BYU in the West II regionals in Tempe and went to Omaha, finished the year ranked ninth.
