By JOSEPHINE ZIMMERMAN How do you uri'e a "pre for a child's learning crip-tion- " dis- ability? This is the task confronting of highly skilled technicians and teachers at the Remedial Center for Communications Disorders, operated by the Nebo School District in the staff Payson. First, the child who is referred to the Center is given a battery of tests. These include IQ tests and psychological tests which cover such factors as his visual-moto- r skills, perceptual skills, language development, hearing, and reading evalua- tion. Problems Diagnosed These may show he has a hearing problem, or lack of peripheral vision, or poor coordination, or an inability to retain for more than a second or two what he sees or hears. He may confuse the relationship of his body to other objects.
