These extensions will be constructed of a combination of exposed aggregate and smoothed concrete. Located around and on these extended areas will be benches, trash receptacles, trees, and ground cover. Cross walks will be constructed of exposed aggregate at the corners of each block. and Kiosks will be located on of each running sides alternating block. Removable bollards acting as barricades will be temporary located at the end of each block. These will be used to alter traffic patterns when desired. Approximately fifteen (15) to twenty (20) trees per block of pedestrian scale (ten (10) to fifteen (15) feet in height) will be located on each side of the street. eight Approximately (8) pedestrian scale (ten (10) to twelve (12) feet in height) street lights will be located per block. The total cost of Improvements Is estimated at $244,000 The property owners portion of the cost is estimated at $240,000 The City's portion of the cost Is estimated at $24,000 The estimated cost per front foot for the assessment is $50.13 per front foot. The following land and lots which abut upon streets or which are adjacent thereto shall be assessed to a depth of twelve (12) rods back from the property line of the various streets upon which they abut or to which they are adlacent (one lot depth only in subdivided areas). The assessments are to be made on a frontfootage bases, except where otherwise noted. The improvements to be constructed In the foregoing special improvement district and for which an assessment will be levied, do not Include improvements to the middle of Center Street from University Avenue west to 400 West consisting mainly of construction of a planter area in the middle-o- Center Street. These' improvements will be constructed contemporaneously with the improvements in the special improvement district at an estimated cost of $195,000. to be paid from funds of the Provo City Redevelopment Agency and not from funds obtained by assessments against property owners in the special Improvement district.
