S. 91 at Fifth East in American Fork. The proposed road will form a connection between 91 and one of two interchanges planned on at America Fork. It will start at Fifth East on 91 and run almost due south along Fifth East, to the freeway. Engineer's estimate for the job was $145,561, so no difficulty is anticipated on the bid award provided other regulations are met. The low bid, of six submitted, came from Hoover-McGha- n Company of Salt Lake City. American Fork's other interchange is located due west of the west end of Main Street. The two interchanges are about two miles apart. 1-- 15 . n. Feb. 6: Girl to 'Edwin Louis and Theo Roper Stuart, Oak City. Girl to Davis Keith and Joan Alene Frisbie Davis, Salem. Hales, who died re cently. Those nominated were Ross B. Denham, Lee Knell, Joseph T. Smith and Franklin R. Hay- more. One of these men will be elected next Wednesday dur ing the regular meeting of the club. 4) special feajrtlre of the Wed nesday meeting was the tribute to Dr. Hales, made by Charles D. Sessions, immediate past presQent of the organization. Mr. Sessions listed four contributions that had been made by Dr. Hales during last year's program. Among these were: 1. His profound respect for hiQphurch. This was so strong, lie said, that many' activities of the Kiwanis program, formerly done on Sunday have now been shifted to other days of the week. 2. His emphasis on proper delegation of authority. He wanted to do the things which h2$ been assigned to him and wanted others to have equal freedom in the fulfilling of their obligations. 3. He had a tremendous love for service as was shown in his work as bishop of his ward, his work in politics, and especially in connection with his assignments in Kiwanis Club : service. Members of the club approv ed a proposal made by Glenn Enke, chairman of the inter-clu- b relations committee, that members join in a dinner meet ing at the top of Treasure Mountain, near Park City, one of the early Thursdays in March. This would involve a ride on the gondola, and a view of the new recreation project that has been initiated there. 20-ye- ar service pins at a, recent function of United States Steel Co., at the Lander, Wyo., Atlantic City Ore Mine.
