Show CITY ADOPTS NEW BUDGETTHIS WEEK The Bingham City budget for 1958 set at $843,247.10 and based on a 16-mill tax levy and valuation valua-tion of $4,106,574 was adopted at Wednesday night's meeting of the city council according to Mae Stillman, recorder. The amount set is $10,115.49 mere than the budget figure for 1957 which was $76,131.61 which also was based on a 16-mill levy. Broken down the anticipated revenue figures are: general taxes, tax-es, $62,419,92; water revenue, $o,500; fines and forfeitures, $4,-000; $4,-000; state liquor fund, $3,729.34; merchants license, $2,750; state motor vehicle registration fund, $4,727.84; beer license, $1,600; rent from ccunty, $720; cemetery revenue, '$200; dog license, $300; and miscellaneous revenue, $300. Breakdown of estimated disbursements dis-bursements in the 1958 budget shows: official salaries, $5,100; city hall expense, $3,500; general operating, $28,366.46; water de- partment, $5,500; police department, depart-ment, ($19,000; health department, $5,300; fire department, $4,800; and streets and sidewalks, $14,-680.64. $14,-680.64. Other council business included includ-ed okelhing for payment miscellaneous miscel-laneous bills amounting to $1,-595.65 $1,-595.65 and regular payroll totaling total-ing $898.37. Appointment of Tom Bernardo and Don Prigmore to fill the vacancies on the garbage collection was announced. Also reported was the appointment of Harold Chesler as temporary city judge. o |
