Show B.D.A.A. FLASHES by Jim Abplanalp BASEBALL FANS PLEASED! BDAA baseball fans are turning out for the Salt Lake Bee games better each time, and reports are that the members are pretty well pleased with this new program. Two games have been played, and five games remain on the schedule. Next game for BDAA members will be held Wednesday, July 6 at Derks Field against Sacramento. If you have not taken in any 'games yet, be sure and attend the remaining five. BDAA members should report to Gate No. 6 on West Temple and BDAA checkers will let them in. You do not have to have a membership mem-bership card if you are on the payroll pay-roll deduction register. Cash members mem-bers should present their cards at the gate. Remember, all members, their wives and immediate family under 16 will be admitted to the five remaining games: July 6, Sacramento at S.L. ; July 14, Tacoma at S.L. ; Aug. 3, Vancouver Van-couver at S.L. ; Aug. 10, Spokane at S.L. ; and Sept. I, San Diego at S.L. Please let all members know about this fine program. HELP NEEDED! The Little Leaguers and the two-team two-team Babe Ruth League are going at it hot and heavy, with a lot of fine baseball being played, but a bit of help could be used on the umpiring um-piring situation. ' Seems like nearly all parents are so interested in watching the boys play that it has been difficult to round up enough umpires. Persons inte7ested in helping out with this problem are urged to contact Director John Osoro. He would appreciate your assistance. The BDAA has purchased caps for the Babe Ruth League teams, and additional baseballs and bats, so plenty of equipment is on hand. |
