Utah Community-Wid- e A meeting to inform NEPHI citizens of the present status of the Central Utah Project, and how it affects this area, will be held in the new stake House at Nephi at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12. The meeting is being sponsored by the Utah Water and Power Board and is . open to all residents of this area. In addition to by the state and federal officials, the meeting will feature a session. Principal participants in the meeting will include Frank M. Clinton, director of Region Four of the Bureau of Reclamation, Salt Lake City; Jay R. Bingham, executive director of the Utah Water and Power; and J. Stewart field solicitor, for the Department of Interior, Salt Lake dis-cussio- ns , , question-and-answ- er Mc-Mast- City. . er, , .The proposed $230,000,000' Central Utah Project will have impact on the entire state, and the meeting on Oct. 12 will include a discussion of some of the revised aspects of the project resulting from the final planning now in progress. Mr., Clinton, who will outline the current status of planning ' of the project and its principal aspects, became director of the Bureau of Reclamation, Region Four, in March of this year, succeeding E. O. Larson who retired. Mr. Clinton is an engineer who has been with the Bureau of Reclamation since 1937 and his filled many important jobs, including regional director for Region Two with headquarters in Montana. If today's' mystery, man is not identified by the time stores close tonight, the prizes are doubled for Friday. Here's how you must identify the mystery man to win: Clues as to his identity are posted in each of the participating retail stores. The stores participating will identify themselves two-fol- d . ... . j by having pictures of the mystery man and the clues posted. The mystery man to be identified each day will be circulating throughout the participating stores. From the clues in the stores, shoppers must identify the mystery man by meeting him in person and asking him if he is the "mystery man of steel" for the day. You must find the man himself in a participating retail store to win the prizes. Upon asking him if he is the mystery man, he will hand you a letter if you have picked the right person. Now. or REPORTS SALUTES THE MEN OF STEEL LOOK WHAT DODGE HAS DONE FOR COMPACTS 2-do- A hearing on a current land dispute between San Juan and Grand counties is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday in Fourth District County, Budding in Provo. The dispute involves a strip of of a mile wide land, and extending from the Colorado state line on the east to Green River on the west, which San Juan claims is in reality within its boundaries and has requested that Grand be restrained from jurisdiction over the area. Grand County in. a counterclaim states that the area is in its boundaries and that for 68 years the present boundaries have been accepted by both counties. San Juan County has now filed with the district court a motion and notice of hearing of a motion requesting that the court order Grand County to show cause why it should not direct the state engineer to establish the boundary in accordance with the reconnaissance survey conducted in 1958.
