Tilden in his exposure of the sanal frauds, and thanking him for his message The statement of (he gross earnings and expenses of the Union Pacific railway for the month of February, 1875, shows $620,307 against $607,940 for February, 1374. Ths expenses for February, 1875, were $272,189 against $374,956 in 1874. Net earnings for Feb. 1875, was $348,119 against $272,188 in 1874. The net earnings to the 80th show over the same an increase of $168,440 ' period in 1874. Gen. W. G. Maak, who has held many important positions in tbe government service, including that of consul-generto Mexico, was ariested by tbe secret service officers last evening on charge for selling counterfeit ueoey, and committed to jail. Mank at the time of his capture had, it is charged, $200 in good greenbacks, which had been marked for identification and given to him in exchange for counterfeit currency. Gen. Mank fought in the rebellion, commanding a regiment in the brigade of Gen. Morton, now U. S. Senator. He draws a pension as lieutenant-colonehaving been wounded several times.
