Last Saturday evening Officer Parry received a telegraphic dispatch from Salt Lake stating that two young girls had left home and were supposed to have left for Ogden by the afternoon train. He was asked lo top their further progress, and to de tain them here until the arrival of the brother-in-laof one of them, who would immediately come here to reclaim Mr. Parry took the truant damsels. measures to discover their place of refuge. He visited all the hotels in the vicinity of the depot, but failed to find any oue answering to the description of the girls he was seeking. Coining up town he entered the Ogden House and ascertained there that a man and two girls, apparently not more than thirteen years old, came to the house by the af-ernoon train from Salt Lake City. They were registered as George Frankfort, wife and sister, Salt Laka. Mr. Frankfor their fort ordered a double bed-roouse, but Mr. Mahon positively refused to comply with the demand, but assigned a ingle apartment to the wayward girls. Mr. Mahon's prompt refusal was caused husby his suspicion that the band was acting a false part. Mr. Frank fort disappeared altogether, but he is supposed to be still in the city, at any rate he has thus far eluded the vigilance of the officers. The grls remained at the Ogden House until next morning, when Officer Parry conducted them to the cars, which left for Salt Lake, and placed of them in charge of the brother-in-lathe elder girl. A dispatch - arrived this morning from the mother of the younger girl lo the effect that she had not yet been seen at home, and requesting Offi cer Parry to use all diligence in sending her back to her parents.
