Show THURSDAY EVENING. DECEMBER 1, 1921.. THE OGDEN "The Sheik" Last Times To day at the Alhambra Ward Asks Parents to Help Make Ogden Records Compete j i t , If thfc cooDeration of the tieonle of Ogden will be given to the Ogden city board of health, the city will have birth records as complete as any other large city in the United States, according to J. Hay Ward, commissioner of public safety, who today issued an appeal to'the people to aid in preparing ne records. Commissioner Ward pointed ftut that in most; cases when the birth certificates are filled out by physicians at the time of birth, the child has not yet been named and therefore the record is not complete. Parents are urgel to telephone to the health office when the child is named and have the Christian name entered in the records, h The importance of birth records was made, apparent during the world war when many persons not attached to the military forces sought passports to go to Europe with organizations which accompanied the troops. In many-case- s the birth'records were not found and the applicant was compelled to wait for weeks to obtain affidavits. Those who were fortunate enough to have their birth records in the office and completer obtained their passports almost immediately. In time- of peace the birth record is Just as important in the event a person desires to go abroad and f6r many other purposes of proving birth according to Commissioner Ward. The certificates should contain the full name of the child so they may rtnL easily found if wanted. In many instances it will be impossible to firtd the birth records of persons in later years if their full names are not given on' the birth certificates. Commissioner Ward asks that parents telephone the health office when their children are named, so the name may be added to the birth certificate which had already been sent in by the sician. - . t r WW m Theatre' George Melfordls superb picturiza-tioof E.. .M.
