Tickets may be purchased at the door. As part of the competition, each of the 16 entrants will be required to perform a talent presentation. Each of those presentations, along with each contestant's name and those of her parents, are listed below. ' Lori Smith, daughter of Mr and Mrs Luther Smith, will be singing a number from the Sound of Music; Janet Morgan, daughter of Mr and Mrs Danny Gilbert, will perform an oriental fan dance. Karen White, daughter of Mr and Mrs Walt White will present an original drama featuring her Lloyd, art work; Teresa daughter of Mr and Mrs Standford Lloyd, will render a number on the flute. Emily Casper, daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur G. Casper, will sing a medley of rain songs; Julie Jensen, daughter of Mr and Mrs Lee Jensen, will entertain the audience with a Spanish dance. ; Pam Pollick, daughter of Mr and Mrs George Pollick, will perform a magic act; Heidi Brady, daughter of Mr and Mrs Jerry Brady, has selected a popular John Denver song to sing. Ann Dyches, daughter of Mr and Mrs Edgel Dyches, will play a classical piece on the piano; Cari Johnson, daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard Johnson, has chosen a creative dance to the song Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Robyne Kirk, daughter of Mr and Mrs Gene Kirk, will sing a selection from the Broadway production Fantastiks; Teri Rosenhan, daughter of Mr and Mrs Chad Rosenhan, will dramatize a scene from "Alice through the Looking Glass." Jill Jenkins, daughter of Mr and Mrs Nyron Jenkins, will perform a tap dance to the Wizard of Oz; Darla Isaac, daughter of Mr and Mrs Allen Isaac, will play a classical piano selection. Arlene Vanderbeck, daughter of Mr and Mrs Jan Willem Vanderbeck, has chosen a vocal solo to the song Evergreen; and Deborah Bateman, daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Bateman will perform an original creative dance. Four will be inducted into Midvaie Hall of Honors Fireman's Midvaie The Auxiliary will be hosting the second annual Midvaie City Honors Banquet on Friday, Aug. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Midvaie Stake Center, 425 Jackson St. Tickets for the banquet are now on sale at city hall. Four persons will be inducted into the Hall of Honors at the banquet. Harvest Days will span two full weekends, beginning Aug. 2 :'and running through ; Aug. 11. h : The curtain raiser is the Jr. Miss Pageant scheduled for Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Union Middle School auditorium. Sixteen of Midvale's finest will compete for the title. On Friday and Saturday, the Old Town Arts, crats, and photography show is set for 3 p.m. each day. This issue two sections. scheduled August 11 s The Midvaie City Harvest Days Half Marathon has been scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 11, and will get underway at 7 a.m. ' The line will be at starting Bingham High School in Copper-to- n and the finish line at Midvaie Elementary, 385 E. Center St. The race is 13 miles, 192.5 yards long. The route leaves Copperton along 10200 S. and heads east until it runs into the Old Bingham Highway, angling over to 9000 South. The route follows 9000 S. to 1300 W. then turns north to 7800 S. then turns east again to the finish line at Midvaie Elementary. The Old Town Art Fair will be held Aug. 3 and 4, beginning at 3 p.m. each of those two days. Harvest Days has a special meaning this year because it is the city's 75th birthday. The celebration will begin with the new Midvaie Jr. Miss royalty releasing hundreds of balloons with a special birthday message inside. Artists, photographers, and craftspeople will show their wares in booths along the old Main Street with many items for sale. First place winners in each category will receive a $30 cash prize plus blue ribbon and there will re second, third, and honorable mention ribbons given out.The deadline for entry for the show is Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. Entry forms are available at Old Towne Originals, 25 North Main Street in Midvaie. The children of Midvaie will have a chance to be creative birthday party for concert will be free to the public and will mark the symphonys first appearance in Midvaie. The parade will begin in the t Parking lot at 10 a.m. head south along State St. to Center St., turn west on Center and travel to Locust St.m and then head for the city park. The Backyard Singers and the new local Valley Center School of Classical Ballet will present a program Friday night at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday evening a of the city charter will take place, with many local people participating.
