Jody has big plans in the near future. He is engaged to Jeri Iverson, who he plans to marry in August. Jeri is also from Riverton. She is attending USU, majoring in interior design. After graduation, Jody plans to continue studying at USU and work as a free lance illustrator in Salt Lake. After that, he plans to go to a major market, like Los Angeles. school... Results on TAP achievement tests Scores on the Tests for Achievement and Proficiency (TAP), given to all high school students last winter, were reported to the Board of Education Tuesday evening. The high school averages were at or above the national norms in and mathematics, reading, written expression. Since this was the first time that all high had been school students tested, the results were particularly gratifying, according to Ernest J. Bianchi, coordinator of testing. The ninth grade students scored a year and two months ahead of the national average in math, and a year and 2 months ahead in writing. Tenth grade students scored a year and 1 month ahead of the national average in both areas. Eleventh grade students were 11 months ahead in math, and 2 months ahead in writing. Seniors scored a year and 2 months ahead in (9-1- IN A PICKLE . . . math, and writing. month ahead in 1 Scores in reading comprehension were at the national norm in ninth and tenth grades, 5 months ahead of the norm in the eleventh grade, and 1 month ahead in the twelfth grade. Jordan District students did not do quite as well on the Source of Information area of the test. Although the ninth grade scored two months ahead of the national average, sophomores, juniors, and seniors were from 3 to 5 months behind. West Jordan City council discussed various amendments to the city zoning ordinances Tuesday night, taking action on only two of the proposed changes. An amendment dealing with placement and architectural considerations of zero lot line homes was approved in order to the zero lot line clarify provision. The amendment gives more flexibility in the placement of zero lot line dwellings and provides additional requirements for such things as fire walls, and roof lines.
