Setting for May 1 wedding rites , The Salt Lake IDS Temple will be the setting for the marriage of Kim Annette Packard, daughter of Mr and Mrs David C. Packard, Sandy, and Jonathan Crandall Huefner, son of Louise C. Huefner, Salt Lake City, and John Huefner, Price, on May 1, 1984. A reception will be held at the Hillside ward that evening. A wedding breakfast will be held at the home of Jean Crandall, the groom's grandmother, and hosted by the groom's family. Attending the bride will be Kerrie Webster, matron of honor, Kristie Packard, maid of honor, and Denece Fitzgerald, Karman and Packard, bridesKatherine Huefner, maids. Best man will be Mike Green with Bill, Joe, Howard, Andrew Huefner and Kevin Packard, ushering. The bride is a graduate of Alta High and the groom is a graduate of Highland High and BYU in philosophy-languageHe has also completed an LDS mission to Portugal. The annual contest has been restructured into large quilt and small quilt categories. The large quilt category is for quilts 60 by 80 inches or larger with a 120 by 120 inch maximum. The small quilt size will be 40 by 40 inches or larger with a 60 by 80 inch maximum. No machine appliqued quilts will be accepted. They were honored at a family dinner that evening at the Copperview Community Center. They were married April 14, 1924 in Salt Lake City. Bryan is a former Bingham Canyon businessman. He is a former member of the Midvale Kiwanis Club, American Legion, Bingham Lions Club and past president of the Midvale Senior Citizens. Hazel has been active in the Utah Federated Womens Club, American Legion, a volunteer for the Veterans Hospital and Midvale Community Club. They are the parents of four daughters. They have 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
