Show THE SENTINEL Paae Thursday, Jan. 12,1 984 4 apartments. The citizens were present en mass to speak against the decision at least until the proposal was studied more thoroughly. The council heard our arguments. They unanimously voted to table the proposal for an indefinite amount of further study. Councilman Vincent needs to be recognized as the one who moved that the proposal be tabled. In my book, that deserves praise. I believe, with this vote, that our outgoing council is clearly saying that decisions made by the council need to reflect the wishes of the citizens more than the private interests of a few. s Dr. Scott M.
