ORGANIZATIONS CLUBS 6--8 Midvale Middle PTA School's Middle Parent-TeachConference held was well attended. A Sept. dinner for the teachers was served by PTA volunteers. The PTA took orders for school shirts The PTA and jackets. membership drive continues. On Oct. 3, the homeroom membership competition began. The school is still collecting funds to restore the symbol of freedom - the Statue of Liberty. The art department outlined a figure of the statue with a scale of $100 to $1000, to be colored in when these amounts have been donated. It will be colored in weekly. She was voted and installed in the office of National First of the Central Company, at the annual convention, held Sept. 30 at the Hotel Utah. Louise has spent many hours in volunteer service at the DUP Memorial Museum in Salt Lake City. The president's greeting was given by Randy Ross and the prayer by Rowena Leather-wood. introduced Coles Midvale royalty, Jolynn Leggat, Junior Miss; and attendants, Linda Mitchell and Lori Ann Stone. They presented talent numbers. The next meeting of the club will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. at the Midvale City Hall. Presiding will be Randy Ross. The pledge will be given by Fay Francom and the prayer by Veda Wright. The program introductions will be made by Ruth Miner. Sandburr Camp DUP Midvale Stake Sandy's Sandburr Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers has scheduled a meeting for 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, at the home of the captain, Geneva Hill, 214 North State St. The lesson to be given at the meeting is entitled "Native Pioneers." The instructor will be Light Marquardt. Dorothy refreshments will be served. Also publicity chairman Gwen P. Atwood reminded members that now is the time for the payment of dues. Midvale Stake held its annual Priest meeting and social Sept. 22, at the stake center. Prior to the dinner, stake president Allen E. Litster, gave a talk and Jed Wasden sang a solo. A dinner was served to 525 guests. A children's group, "The Backyard Singers" furnished a musical program. The group is under the direction of Kathy Isaac. They were accompanied by Darla Isaac. High councilors, Reid Fillmore and Dean Mansfield, were in charge of the High affair.
