A reception was held at the Garden Villa Condominiums garden in Provo that evening. A wedding breakfast honoring the newlyweds was given by the groom's parents, Mr and Mrs Walter Gong, at the White House Reception Center. The tour included visits to pioneer homes and later homes which feature pioneer relics in their decor. Children, 3 to 5 years of age, are especially invited to watch films selected especially for them in the Rainbow Room. Calligraphy for beginning and advanced students will be taught at the Whitmore Library, on Wednesdays, Oct. 5 through Nov. 23. Beginning classes will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. and advanced will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Carole Taylor, Jordan Community School, will instruct the courses. There is a tuition fee. News 4-- H Club of The Busy Canners West Jordan has had a busy and successful summer. The club enrollment is made up of Cathy, David, Anne, Daniel and Jane Drake. The leader is Emily Drake their grandmother. The Club entered 15 canning exhibits in the county and state fairs. They received blue ribbons on all their exhibits at both county and state fairs. ' The Midvale Stake Relief Society sponsored a Visiting Teachers Conference Sept. 10, at the stake center. The theme was "Helping The One," and ward depicted in music, talks and skits. Fourteen ladies were honored and presented gifts after serving as a Relief Society visiting teacher for 50 years. Each ward and the Spanish and H'mong branches had displays of the various Relief Society lessons. Refreshments were served in the cultural hall.
