Show 1 ! West Jordan 4th off July events begin next week The annual West Jordan Beauty Pageant will be held June 30 in the Bingham High School auditorium. Contestants will be completing for the right to represent West Jordan in the Miss Utah contest in 1980. Vicki Coon is chairman of the pageant. Girls wishing to enter the contest may contact Mrs Coon at 1 or by going to the West Jordan City offices. To qualify for the beauty contest girls must be 17 years or older and a high school graduate by June 1, 1980. They can not have been previously married, must be of good moral character, a citizen of the United States and a resident of West Jordan and never been convicted of a crime. The West Jordan Fourth of July parade should attract a large number of entries with cash awards being made for floats in various categories and to outstanding bands. D. C. Girls entering the contest must own their own horse and be between 16 and 21 years of age. Entrants in the contest are not limited to West Jordan residents but to any girl in the county who can qualify. Girls will be judged on their ability to handle their horse and go through routines to be determined by the judges.
