Friday they met at the Mid-val- e East Stake Center where Wanda Badger, president, was guest speaker. Her message was on personal record keeping. Saturday morning they met at the Fort Union stake center. Mae Christensen, a prominent leader spoke to the girls. Following the address, work shops were conducted by Bishop Richard Bird, four returned missionaries, and Sondra Smith. A luncheon was served at noon followed by chamber music. Mothers of the girls were special guests. Utah Power currently charges about 8V2C per kilowatt hour on the average for residential power. Wind power possibilities? This statement makes a lot of sense to Officer Pepper except that all reserve officers have full time jobs so it makes it impossible to attend the state police academy for two months. Nor can the state afford the cost involved in training a prospective peace officer as a reserve. Since the law was passed Sandy City decided to rewrite the responsibility of the Corps as to meet the guidelines of the law but still have an effective Corps. With the help of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's a Reserve department was begun. Classes Academy held were Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays for four hours each night.
