Show The Jordan Valley Sentinel Midvale, Utah Page 8 1976 March 4, Thursday, World competition looms for chariot team Larco Farms, members of the Utah Valley Ass'n, had their team come in first place in the first division in the Utah State Championship Chariot races, with the time 23.73. The team is owned by Hal Larsen and sons, River-ton- . Driver of the team was Steven Larsen. The races were held at the Slopes Ass'n, 24.0, fourth. In the second division Buck, Wasatch Slopes, 23.74; will compete in Pocatello, Ida., in the world championship races on Mar. 20 and 21 and Mar. 26, 27 and division, first place, Top of the World Supply, Wasatch Slopes 28. Ass'n, 23.87; a- winning poems will be presented as part of the Relief Society's Bicentennial program, Home," Mar. Center. 19 in "America, My Some say life begins at 40, but for Mrs Clara Home Park, Draper Second Ward, life doesn't even begin to diminish at 90. Last week Mrs Park was declared a first place winner from a field of over 50 entries in the Relief Society Poetry Contest in Draper Stake. She credits her activity, long life, and good health to the fact that she has "always enjoyed living." Her poem, "Our Pilgrim Fathers," will be among the original poems prize-winnin- g presented at the Relief Society Bicentennial program, "America, My Home," Mar. 19 in the Draper Stake Center at 7:30 p.m. Also included in the evening's program will be the poems "Lulaby for Aaron" by Gale T. Boyd, Draper Second Ward; "Steven" by Dana Jensen, Draper First; and "My Actons .by Mar-- " garet Preece, Draper First, which were also declared winners in the stake contest. Wilma S. Oakeson, Crescent, won an honorable mention for her poem "America."
