Some people, like Bill Schorr of West Jordan, do more for the pheasants than just let the weeds grow. To provide cover and food for as many birds as possible, Bill Schorr, working with the SCS has planted Russian Olive and Multiflora Rose bushes along his ditch banks. This provides excellent food and cover for the pheasants. In fact the cover is so good that you need a good dog in order to get a bird out of the cover to shoot at. Bill allows friends and neighbors to hunt his 120 acres r of ground. He expects them to practice hunter safety and stay away from his dairy barns 750 E. and cows.
