There will also be a dinner dance for the teen-ageyoung people at the South Jordan LDS church. - d Honor Stan Dimond As Farmer, Ranchers Stan Dimond was chosen of the Year by the Salt Lake District of the Soil Conservation project. He was chosen by the soil conservation board and was given the award by Goodyear Rubber Company, The award was presented at the annual banquet held at Inn. Ramada Salt Lake County district executives are Willard Oliver, Murray; Dale Bateman, West Jor dan; Bob Harman, Riverton. Mr Dimond was chosen for his extraordinary accomp- lishments in conservation practices. Farmer and Rancher Dawna Neilson attending Dixie College won the Make It With V'ool contest in Southern Utah. She will compete in the state contest Salt Lake. If W I Utah Valley Cutter Association instead of racing at the South Jordan track Saturlay, Dec. 14, exchanged a race meet w'.'h the Bee Hive Cutter Association who raced here last year. The racing on Dec. 14 was held at Davis Downs, or the Lagoon track. The New Years Eve in held at the home of Mr & Mrs Stan Dimond last Fri- day night. A banquet was served. Gardner Camp Holds Yule Party Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Gardner Camp, held a Christmas dinner party Dec. 19 at Pioneer Hall. Dinner was served by the officers. A program was given comprising vocal solos by Christine Timothy from BYU, niece of Deloris Weich-man- ; violin selections by Jenell Peterson, dance numbers by Susan Russell, a short lesson by Myrtle Bateman and reading by Albine Richardson. Gifts made by the officers were given and an exchange of gifts followed. Christmas was party held for the Second Ward Sunday school officers anl teachers. Pavich, son of Mr & Mrs Michael D. His unit was cited for exceptionally meritorious servan ice for demonstrating outstanding degree of professionalism in conducting its assigned weather reconand naissance, sampling, special missions.
