Allen St., Midvale, is serving aboard the amphibious command ship USS Eldorado with the U. S. Seventh Fleet in the Western Pacific The Eldorado arrived in the western Pacific recently ahead of typhoon Mary. The typhoon followed the ship ior nearly a week but the Eldorado pulled into Subic Bay, Kepublic of the Philippines unharmed. Upon arrival in Subic Bay crewmembers of this ship became very much involved in the Navy's People - to People program. The program, coordinated by the ship's Chaplain, provided books, medical supplies and food to four organizations near Subic Bay. When the ship arrived in Danang, South Vietnam it distributed more than 700 pounds of clothing to a refugee center near the Navy night on September 19, at 7:30 A school lunch will be served from 7 until 7:30 with a PA meetin at 7:45. There will be an opportunity to meet your children's teachers and to learn about the year's lunch program.
