YWMIA officers and girls entertained evening at the home of Mrs Sue Beckstead, in honor of Mrs Harrison. Mrs Merlin Barnhuryt visited Cedar City, traveling with her son. Boyd Dimond is home for the holidays. He is stationed in San Diego where he has been taking boot training in the navy. He is a son of Mr &. Mrs Arland Dimond. JORDAN WEST NEWS Mrs Virginia Peterson School Tries Day West Jordan Junior Hieh School is trying out a new svstem this week. On Tups- day, Wednesday, and Thursday they are having an eight period day, with one period for study. If the trial plan works out it will be used for the rest of the year. The school is having a Christmas matinee dance Friday afternoon, Dec. 5 at the end of the school day. Westvale school Fifth crade held a bake and candv sale Friday to raise money for books. The library grades have been taking turns of having sales to build up the library. West Jordan Fifth Ward will hold a ward Christmas party on Saturday evening, Dec. 16.
