A project to remind people that Christ is still in Christmas has been undertaken by the members of the Calvary Lutheran Church. Members of Guild have made felt angels and distributed them to homeowners around the church Sunday Dec. 11. Massey recently entertained friends for the week end. Mr & Mrs Donald Reed and four of their five children were their guests. The Reeds are former residents of Salt Lake City and are now living in Ely, Nevada. Mrs Massey and Mrs Reed have been lifetime friends since the age of two. On Saturday the families enjoyed Christmas shopping together after which a ride town to view the through Christmas lights was enjoyed. On Sunday Dec. 11, Mr & Mrs Lee Bushmell motored to Ephraim. En route, they stopped in Provo to pick up their daughter, Jennie Lee, who is a student at BYU. In Ephraim they helped celebrate the 89th birthday of Mrs Bushmell's father, Peter W. Pearson, Meadow, Utah. All of Mr Pearson's children were on hand for the event with the exception of one daughter who lives in Nevada. Though almost 90, Mr Pearson keeps his own home and bakes his bread. Mr & Mrs William L. Jamison and family traveled to Franklin. Ida., over the week end to visit Mr Jamison's mother and father, Mr & Mrs Jamison. The senior Jamihome son recently returned from the hospital following surgery on his leg. Kevin Barnhurst, son of Mr &, Mrs Durward J. Barnhurst, has the lead part in Butler Junior High's production "Kris Kringle Rides Again." Kevin will play the part of a "Teacher Villain." Guy Briggs, a son of Mr & Mrs Rulon Briggs. wi'l play the part of "Head Postman." Grant Tanner recently was involved in an automobile mishap. Mr Tanner received and abrasions. Lou Nichols returned home Dec. 7 from the LDS Hospital. He had had surgery on his back. The infant son of Mr & Mrs Ronald S. Beckstrom returned home last week after being released from the LDS Hospital. He recently underwent heart surgery. Lori Ann Leek, daughter of Mr & Mrs Duane Leek. Salt Lake City, recently spent the night witli her grandparents, Mr & Mrs Arvel G. Leek. Mr & Mrs Gordon Brady are expecting Mrs Bradv's parents, Mr & Mrs Everett C. Williams to arrive Dec. 20. Mr & Mrs William live in Maiden, Mo., and are planning to spend the holidays with the Bradys. On Dec. 9 Randy Loek had as tn overnight guest Bobbie Salt Lake City. Following this presentation the church choir will present a Christmas cantata entitled "The Night The Angel Sang" composed by John W. Peterson. Mrs Charles Crane will direct the cantata.
