Show THE MIDVALE SENTINEL, MIDVALE, UTAH Page 2 Thursday, December U 1966 Riverton Blanche Densley 254-36- Riverton Woman Hurt in Accident Mrs Adele Maynard met with a serious car accident Monday evening, Nov. 21, about 8 p.m., 'when she and her husband, Earl Maynard, daughter, Su!a, 11, and a small granddaughter, were returning home after purchasing milk in glass bottles from a local dairy. Mr Maynard had just made a left turn onto Redwood at about 13250 So. when his car was struck from behind by another car going at an excessive rate of speed. Both cars were demolished. Mrs Maynard received a crushed cheek bone and other injuries about the face, requiring several days in the hospital. Sula received deep cuts on her leg requiring 150 stitches when the milk bottles broke. South Jordan First Ward held Pinewood Derby race Friday night. The boys carved their own litt'e cars from wood and raced them on a tilted track. Brian Mabey, son of Mr & Mrs Sherman Mabey, won the prize for the fastest car. Rex Harmon, son of Mr & Mrs George Harmon, won the prize for the best looking car. The racing was done by dens and then by the pack. The den mothers are Mrs Shirla Holt, Mrs Lola Graziano, Mrs Gene Stocking.
