Promoter Doyle Tells of SPECIAL DAYS AT AUTUMN CARNIVAL. tiie Wonders to Be t v Shown by Southern 0 MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TII. - Utah day. Gov. Well S ejected' ' to attend. Carnival Company. 0 TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER IGTH. - Salt S) (S) (S) G) r? G) rz- . , . s Lak Charles A. Doyle, representative of the Southern Carnival company, which opens at the Salt Palace on Monday night, has the following to say of his bigr organization which has gained such a good reputation foi its merits and magnificence: "The Southern Carnival company, which comprises a complete Midway, travels in its own train of twenty cars; it has furnished attractions for the past five year:-- at the largest street fairs and carnivals back East. Xat Reiss, the manager, has high ideals and finds it most profitable to eliminate all objectionable features, and presents only clean, moral and refined amusement. Tthe carnivals at Portland, Seattle. s, and Boise were a spHos of and the newspapers of those are unstinted in their praise of the attractions, shows and features presented, as your exchanges will prove. Fifteen. Distinct Shows. "Everything to amuse, entertain and delight the visitors is to be found among the featmes of the big aggregation. There are fifteen distinct shows, each of which is different from the others, and each one has its own cosy, handsome pavilion theater, brilliantly lighted inside and out, and all comfortably seated. Merely nominal prices are charged to the shows. The highest is the Stadium, which charges 25 cents, being the feature shew, and having so many performers the price is not considered excessive. The big trained animal show Is another expensive attraction, and charges 15 cents. The rest all charge 10 cents and are certainly worth much more. List of Attractions. '"The following is a partial list of our attractions: The Stadium, Dreamland, American theater, the Old Plantation, dog and pony show, animal show, Lr.tta, the fire dancer, electric theater, Venetian glass palace, Esau, the phenomenon, Moorish theater, wonderland, "Pharaoh's Daughter," camels, "Barrel of d Iove," steam gondolas, and Ferris wheel. There are other attractions many and varied. " onsieur Du Bell will ride a bicycle at c height of fifty feet above the ground on a live electric wire at night, showing the wheel to be one myriad of incandescent lights and a beautiful sight to be; Spo-l-'i.u- 0 0 WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER to Ogden congress. "Rose and Lemon, America's champion stairway riders, and the only two gentlemen alive today that have successfully ridden down the White House stairs at Washington, D. C. They will do their daredevil act of riding down a stairway seventy feet high and back again twice daily. Capt. Beach, ti.e 'man fish,' is another feature. He is at home under the water. Playing at Boise. "The Southern Carnival company are now in Boise, and from all press accounts of the shows they are the finest ever seen there. Every show is a feature in itself and the grounds are packed with people endeavoring to see them all two or three times.
