WELLS' WILL SHINE Chief Executives Vteit to fairm Timnnnno-fIf a Day of Interest and Excitement. CAMP TIMPANOGOS, Utah Lake, Aug. 25. The boy3 in camp are today recovering from the excitement ofras-terdaIt was "Governor's day" and from reveille to taps everyone was busy, either preparing or carrying out some detail of the day's programme. Visitors in large parties began to arrive on the reservation early in the day. They came afoot, on horseback and in all manner of vehicles, from all parts of the valley, and when the midday mess call sounded over the camp there was assembled the largest crowd that has visited Timpanogos. Gov. Heber M. Wells, his staff and party, in which was Col. Bubb of Fort arrived on the reservation Douglas, shortly after 3 o'clock. Instantly belched forth the mighty roar of the Governor's salute; such a welcome as is tendered y. Dying Man Remembers a Negro Soldier Who Gave Him Succor. to but few. On the parade ground, di rectly east of the camp, was drawn up in inspection day attire, a regiment of infantry, a full battery, a troop of cav alry, a signal corps and two hospital corps. As the commander-in-chie- f of Utah's Guard took hl3 position a short distance in ironc or tne ranks, the troops were put in motion and marched and counter marched for almost an hour, showing in many ways the benefits they have re ceived from the week of camp life. At the conclusion of the review, the battery gave an exhibition target shoot, the mark being set out on the lake, 170 yards distant. Many hits were made and Gov. "Wells seemed well pleased with the exhibition. The visiting party lined at the officers' mess and at 3 o'clock was escorted into Provo where Maj. and Mrs. Samuel King, assisted by Senator and Mrs. Loose, entertained at the former's resi dence. This pleasant function was fol lowed by a grand ball in the Mozart pavilion which was attended by the eiite of the town. The Governor's party returned to Salt Lake on a special late at r.iht. When about to depart Gov. Wells was heard to remark that he was more than pleased with the showing the troops had made and was proud indeed to be the commander-in-chie- f of a Guard that is not only a credit to Utah, but would be a credit to any State. 32G NEW YORK. Aug. 25. For an act of bravery and kindness performed during the Civil war, Daniel Prime, a negro living at Easton, Pa., is reported to have been bequeathed $5000 by Jonathan Moore of Jackson, Mich. Prime was sergeant in company II, Fifty-fourt- h regiment of Massachusetts volunteers, the first negro regiment, and Moore was a First Lieutenant in the Eleventh Michigan volunteers. i?oth regiments participated in the recapture of Fort Sumter. Lieut. Moore had one; of his legs shattered and lay bleeding to death, when Prime tore his blouse to pieces, tightly bound the injured leg and carried the helpless man to a place of safety. & . bit dif.hir.d. he liuf'H l.t i i.rk :aS make pubd their i. i:. . ly. Overwork, mental strain, the cares and worries of business an i the home, all have a deleterious cifect upon the nerves, rvhich in their devitalized condition readily fall prey to the attacks of disease. Aside from the danger there is no condition attended by so many disagreeable sympton.s; such as loss of appetite, indigestion or nervous dyspepsia, headache, tired feeling and loss of ambition together with the agony of sleepless nights spent in tossing restlessly about, only to rise exhausted in the morning. "Dr. Miles'' Nervine is a true nerve tonic which, by strengfherrng the nerves, restores health and appetite and brings sweet sleep. "For six years I suffered almost constantly from a complication of troubles which culminated in complete nervous prostration. I had no appetite, I could not sleep, I suffered from indigestion and nervousness. As is so often the case in nervous prostration I frequently had weak, fainting spells. Doctors d'd not help me. They said my blood was always poor, and I know my faceofwas Miles' pale.
