Show THURSDAY EVENING, 'AUGUST The Salt Lake Telegram. 20? 1903. IBALL CHAMPIONS AN PATCH TO .'LINE UP FOR SEASON -- "Dick"' Richards to Get Players Together for Another Round of Strenuous Sport. "Dick" Richards, who coached the champion football team of the State last season, made the announcement yesterday that he will get his boys together again this fall. This means that the University will again have a dangerous rival for supremacy in the strenuous game, as Richards' team, playing under the name of the "Guards," had little trouble in the Holmes bunch last year. defeating Richards has spent the summer in Eureka, but he intends to come In soon and get his players together. The management of the Blue Rock mine of Tintic, where a number of Salt Lake football players are employed, is anxious to have a team in the field this season, and "Dick" says It is just possible that his team may play under that name. All of the old "Guard" players will join Richards, as they have unbounded confidence in his ability as a catch. Richards returned to Eureka, last after spending several days here night, in his old haunts.
