Strong can be appointed, Sterling Jones, chairman of the county commission, said Saturday, Appointment from a field of four applicants will probably be made Wednesday morning so the new auditor can attend the county delinquent taxes sale, he said. NEAItS 91 . C. V. Hansen, veteran Provoan, who will note his 91st birthday anniversary on Tuesday. C. V. Hansen Provo Man Will Be 91 On Tu esdav ; C. V, Hansen, well known Provoan and local artist will begin the 91st year of his life surrounded by his family who will hand to note the event Tuesday, . May 23. Mr. Hansen is remembered by a score of friends with whom he keeps up .a correspondence. Although confined to his wheelchair at Eldred Hospital, he continues with his painting and takes pleasure in making gifts to friends of his work. He was born in Denmark and came to Logan with bis family at age 13. Later, the family moved to Idaho and in 1920 Mr. Hansen came to Provo where he has . since resided. His wife died 35 years sago. They were the parents of 11 chil dren. The six living are F. Emil Hansen and Mrs. Anita H. Varley, Orem: .Oliver M. Hansen, Pleasant View; Mrs. Lucille M. Miner, Provo; Mrs. Irene H. Wignall, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Veda H. Wright, Mid vale. Maycock, Springville, new president of the North German LDS Mission, his wife and sons, Neil, left, and Gregory.-Thewill leave July 17 for their new home in Hamburg Germany. '.' ''' 'f;' Howard C. SPRINGVILLE Maycock, second counselor in the Springville LDS Stake presidency, has been named president of the North German LDS Mission, church leaders announced Saturday. He will leave with his family on July VI to assume his new duties, with headquarters in Hamburg, Germany. This is the second Springville man in 1961 to be named to an LDS mission presidency this year. Grant Thorn assumed the presidency of the North British Mission earlier this year.. He was Educated in the Springville City schools and at Brigham Young University. From 1928 to 1930 he fulfilled a mission in Germany and Switzerland. Mr: Maycock has been a retail grocer, chief deputy treasurer of Utah County, assistant cashier of the Springville Banking Company and is presently cashier. He is a director of the Springville Banking Company, director and officer of retail grocery, a real estate and insurance company and until recently served as a director and officer! of a construction company. In civic affairs he has served as director and president of the Springville Chamber of Commerce, and director and president of the Springville Kiwanis Club. He Is currently serving as Spring-ville- 's representative on the Board of Health of Utah County. He helped to found and is currently president of the Utah County Child Guidance and Mental Health Clinic.; His wife, the former Mary Simmons will accompany President Maycock as will their two sons, Neil, 13; and Gregory, 11.
