The' club grew and soon became a federated group of "people help ing people." With the federation came the need for a new name and the Fraternal Order of Eagles was born. From these humble beginnings the order has spread to all states in the Union and many' foreign countries. The FOE is the only fraternal organization that is a member agency of Care, overseas relief agency. The current Eagles' Care projects include Eagle House in Chili, Mexico City, and the Philippines. The Eagles paved the way 25 years ago for social security legislation, and, believing the job barriers against older workers in industry are cruel, wasteful and unsound, have petitioned Congress to outlaw job discrimination based on age. In theirt current campaign for "Jobs after 40" the Eagles have secured legislation in 11 states and will continue the fight until all age barriers are removed to end this waste of our human resources.
