Bullen have spent several days surveying the mouth of Miller Canyon for a flood control structure. "R. Elgin Gardner, chairman of the Watershed Committee stated that the preliminary plans - call for flood control structures - at the mouth of both canyons. The one at the mouth of Miller Canyon will hold between 80 and 100 acre feet of water. The one at Bigelow canyon will be slightly larger, These structures are designed to intercept the floods and allow only the water that can be controlled to flow through. A part of the water will run into a Nephl Irrigation Company ditch and the rest under the railroad bridge south of town. The struc tures .will be drained as rapidly as possible after each storm so that they will be empty should another storm occur. 1 Miller-Bigelo- w iiig Wmm j J ' 1 1 . i t j Kri'rtyfV'' PRAfYTTrrNra.TTP FOR TTTG-OF-WA- Dick i Mcof fin, left, and Lonnie Dennis,1 R contest against the-BYU footballers, practice up for next Saturday's pulling strength against University of Utah footballers in Provo by testing theirJacfcman.
