S. 91 With reeway - The State Road Commission today announced that a public hear- ing .will be held in Orem regarding a proposal to construct two roads in the community to connect iJ.S 91 with the new Interstate Freeway. The' meeting will be, held in the Little Theatre of the new Orem High School at 2 pi m. on Thursday, Oct. 29. The Road Commission proposal calls ifor .the construction of two roads in Orem connecting the present U S. 91 and the new Interstate Freeway. The first of these highways is along the route of an existing road on Eighth North Street. The road will be widened to. provide fourtraffic lanes and two eight-fopaved shoulders.- - Opposing lanes of traf- fic will .be separated by a curbed median "which will be channelized at intersection to allow for left turn lanes.-Thlength of the new road will be 1.3 miles and will cost about $200,000.
