Spring Flowers Are, Setting Of Halliday Startup Wedding Pet -- FOOD CEUTER One of the loveliest affairs of th pring season was the. reception given Friday Evening in the Smith Family Living Center by Dr. and Mrs. John R. Halliday, in honor of their daughter Carol,-anGordon Startup, whose mar-- riage was solemnized earlier that day in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. To the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march, the bridai party entered the hall which was beautifully decorated for the occasion with branches of flowering plum. The lovely bride was radiant in an imported gown of candlelight Peau de Sole, styled with basque waist with a deep ; line formed by folds of the material, a full s floor length skirt with " a'l chapel train, teaturing : an appli-- ! qued lace insertion, embroidered with irresdescent sequins and tiny seed pearls. The long pointed sleeves repeated the same lace "V f I applique and embroidered motif - x H Her fingertip veil of bridal illu sion fell from a crown studded with sequins and pearls. She car ried a bouquet of shattered white carnations and stephanotis. cen i tered with tiny pink rosebuds. ' ' . s Her attendants, gowned alike in dresses of sky blue crystalline with basque waists and full skirts with blue velvet bows down the front were Mary Halliday, Pamela Gease, Karen Startup,.
