Show LAY COMMITTEE HOLDS HRST MEET Phil Alldredge of Union was named chairman of the 15-mem-ber Jordan School District lay committee at an organizational meeting of the group held Monday Mon-day night at Sandy. Elected to rerve as secretary of the group was Mrs. Elmer Tripp, West Jordan. Jor-dan. All 15 members were assigned assign-ed their term of office on the committee, ranging from one to three years. The committee will study problems assigned by the Jordan Board of Education or Jordan District Council Parent- Teacher Association. Three-year members are: Wendell Wen-dell Grover, Riverton; Elmer Sanders, Crescent; Mrs. Tripp, Casper A. Nelson, iMidvale and John J. Creedon, Bingham. Two-year assignments were given to: Mrs. J. F. Cartwright, Draper; Mrs. Oelbert Fugal, Sandy; Mrs. Howard Newbold, South Jordan; Mr. Alldredge, and Don Willie, Lark. One-year members are: Mrs. J. A. Miller, Herriman; 'Nelson Clayton, Granite; Mrs. Pearl Pollard, Pol-lard, West Jordan; Clyde Buxton, Bux-ton, Butler; and Mrs. Howard Harker, Copperton. (First meeting date was set for November 19, when new building needs and population will be discussed. o |
