Sealed bids for the construction must be received by Dave Gustafson, Project Manager, Park City Municipal Corporation, at the Office of Sustainability, 445 Marsac Avenue, Park City, Utah 84060, by 4:00 p.m. local time Thursday October 18, 2018, and then at 4:05 p.m. that same day and place will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work consists of asphalt cutting, trenching and laying conduit for a future RMP provided transformer from Iron Horse Drive to the Transit Bus Barn on property; installation of owner provided switch gear, CTE, MDP and step down transformer; and trenching from CTE to the interior of the Bus Barn where the MDP and transformer will be installed. From the MDP, conduit will be run underground to seven (7) owner provided, 66kw bus chargers. Details for the rest of the installation will be provided to interested bidders. The work will be required to be completed by December 21, 2018. Bids will be in accordance with the Specifications as prepared for the project by Spectrum Engineering, Inc. NOTICE OF SPECIAL BOND ELECTION PARK CITY, UTAH PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special bond election will be held in Park City, Utah (the “City”), on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at which special election there shall be submitted to the qualified, registered voters residing within the City the following question: OFFICIAL BALLOT FOR THE PARK CITY, UTAH BOND ELECTION November 6, 2018 (Facsimile Signature) City Recorder PARK CITY BOND Shall Park City, Utah be authorized to issue general obligation bonds to acquire, improve and forever preserve open space, park and recreational land located in Treasure Hill and Armstrong/Snow Ranch Pasture in order to protect the conservation values thereof, to eliminate any future commercial or residential development, and to make limited improvements for public access, trailhead parking and use, in an amount not to exceed $48,000,000 and to mature in no more than 16 years from the date or dates of such bonds? PROPERTY TAX COST OF BONDS If the bonds are issued as planned, an annual property tax to pay debt service on the bonds will be required over a period of 16 years in the estimated amount of $194 on a primary residence with an assessed value of $800,000, and in the estimated amount of $353 on a business property having the same assessed value. The foregoing is only an estimate and is not a limit on the amount of taxes that the governing body may be required to levy in order to pay debt service on the bonds. The governing body is obligated to levy taxes to the extent provided by law in order to pay the bonds. FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS The bond election will be administered entirely by absentee ballot. The election officer will mail to each registered voter within the City an absentee ballot and a postage paid business reply envelope. For a voter that registers to vote after the absentee ballots have been mailed, the County Clerk will either give the voter an absentee ballot and envelope to vote in the County Clerk’s office or mail an absentee ballot, postage paid, to the voter. There will be no polling places in the City for the election. If a voter fails to follow the instructions included with the absentee ballot, the voter will be unable to vote in the election. Voters are not required to apply for an absentee ballot for the election. To vote the mail-in absentee ballot, a voter will need to: (i) complete and sign the affidavit on the envelope; (ii) mark the votes on the absentee ballot; (iii) place the voted absentee ballot in the envelope; (iv) securely seal the envelope; and (v) deposit the self-addressed, prepaid envelope in the mail or deliver it in person to the County Clerk. There is to be no special registration of voters for the special election, and the official register of voters last made or revised shall constitute the register for the special election, except that all persons who reside within the City and are registered to vote in the regular general election held on that day shall be considered to vote in the special election.
