Coach Udell Wankier's Bingham Hi)h basketeers continued to stay in the win column last Friday ev ening when they took the measure of the Murray High Spartans 63-47 63-47 in a Region Four contest played in Bingham. A string-splitting puided missile in the form of Larry Dehlin pumped 28 points through the hoop in the game as Bingham rolled past Murray 63-47 in the home game for the Miners that had plenty of thrills. Dehlin, running wild with 1 3 field goals, boosted the Miners into a three-way Region Four tie for second place. Bingham, Tooele and Granger all carry 3-3 records after hist Friday night' round. The Miners led all the way. At the end of first quarter they were out in front 18-12. At halftime they led 32 to 27 and at the end of the third canto stretched their lead to 47-39. The fjame ended 63 to 47 for the Miners. Dehlin kept the hoop hot for the Miners by dumping in 28 points to bo top scorer of the contest. Other teammates contributing to the count, were Davis with 9, Erickson 8; English 6; Dimond 5; Sluga 3j and Markovich and Walker 2 each. Also seeing action in the game were Jenson, Robertson, Sorich. |
