Park City Film Series: ‘RBG’ Park City Film Series will present Julie Cohen and Betsy West’s documentary, “RBG,” rated PG, through Sunday, 10, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. Saturday’s screening will start at 8 p.m. and Sunday’s screening will start at 6 p.m. “RBG,” which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, is about the iconic U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The documentary takes the audience on the personal journey of her rise to the nation’s highest court, a story that is largely unknown, even to some of her biggest fans. Sunday’s screening will be followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Leslie Thatcher, featuring Utah Supreme Court Justice Paige Peterson, University of Utah Law Professor Erika George and ACLU of Utah Legislative and Policy Counsel Marina Lowe. Poker Ride at the DeJoria Center The Rhodes Valley Outfitters 2018 Poker Ride will be held from 9-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, at the DeJoria Center, 970 N. S.R. 32. The Poker Ride is an event where horse riders will stop at five stations along a designated trail and play Five Card Stud by drawing one card at each station to build their hand. Saturday Morning Nature Walks at the Swaner Preserve Saturday morning nature walks are held at 8:30 a.m. every Saturday at the Swaner EcoCenter. The cost is $10 per person and $5 for local residents. Hops Hunters Hike Summit Land Conservancy and Wasatch Brewery will host a hops hunters hike from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 10, at Empire Canyon. Hikers will search for hops that are on hillsides protected by the Conservancy. The hops were planted by German miners. Hikers will also learn about the area’s history and native plants and invasive weeds. Hikers should wear hiking shoes and wear sunscreen. They should also bring a snack and water. Dogs are allowed, but need to be leashed. Monday, June 11 Free Film Screening and Panel Discussion: ‘Resilience’ The Healing Group and National Alliance on Mental Health Utah will present a free screening of the documentary, “Resilience,” at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 11, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. The film is about the effects of childhood trauma.
