Park City Film Series Dual Language Immersion Film: ‘Coco’ The Park City Film Series will present a free screening of Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina’s Academy Award-winning animated film “Coco,” rated PG, at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. The film, which will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles, is about a young boy named Miguel who dreams of becoming a musician in spite of his family’s ban on music. Through a series of events, Miguel finds himself in the Land of the Dead to unlock his family’s history. “Coco” is the winner of the Best Animated Feature Oscar. Park City Film Series: ‘Phantom Thread’ The Park City Film Series will present Paul Thomas Anderson’s Academy Award-winning “Phantom Thread,” rated R, through Sunday, March 11, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. Saturday’s screening will start at 8 p.m. and Sunday’s screening will start at 6 p.m. Set in the glamour of 1950’s post-war London, “Phantom Thread” is about renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock (played by Day-Lewis, nominated this year for a Best Actor Oscar) and his sister Cyril (played by Leslie Manville) are at the center of British fashion, dressing royalty and movie stars. Women come and go through Woodcock’s life, providing the confirmed bachelor with inspiration and companionship, until he comes across young, strong-willed beauty Alma (played by Vicky Krieps) who soon becomes a fixture in his life as his muse and lover. Fox School of Wine Weekend Wine Series The Fox School of Wine hosts its weekend wine series from 6-7 p.m. every Saturday at the Silver Baron Lodge in Lower Deer Valley, Fox School of Wine professors select five wines based on a theme that changes every week. Tuesday, March 13 ‘A Journey Interrupted-A Lecture on the First Plane Crash in Park City’s History’ Historians Steve Leatham and David Nicholas will give a presentation titled “A Journey Interrupted-A Lecture on the First Plane Crash in Park City’s History’ at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, at the Park City Museum’s Education and Collections Center, 2079 Sidewinder Drive. The free event will cover the circumstances regarding the crash of a Boeing Air Transport plane Model 40-A on a dark and stormy night in March 1929.
