This fall, both played varsity soccer and raced on the varsity cross country team for Park City High School. “It was really tough, especially with all the classes I’m taking.” Doilney said after finishing 35th overall in the Class 4A state cross country meet in Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City on Wednesday. “It’s hard to leave practice and go straight to a cross country meet and then after that go home and do all my homework.” To make her complicated schedule work, Doilney said she spends a lot of time talking with her coaches and teachers to make sure she has time for everything. “Some weeks it’s fuller than others,” she said of her planner. “Some weeks I feel like I have so much stuff going on I totally forget about it.” Burnham, who ran cross country last season and finished 90th overall on Wednesday, had a simple method for staying above water. “Just don’t do homework,” she said. “Just kidding. After considering their options, the boys get back to work. The incident is one small piece of a long, intricate day for Sheetz. He started his morning dropping off forms at the school district transportation office behind Jeremy Ranch Elementary School, then went to a region meeting, then to the state cross country meet at Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City where PCHS was competing. After watching the girls team take eighth, he came back and started preparing Dozier field for the senior night football game against Ridgeline High School. Now, in the third quarter of the game, with the ball boy strike successfully broken, he was finally able to relax and watch the Miners play, which is what a Please see Keeping, B-2 Please see Athletic, B-4 ECHO UTAH’S LARGEST TREE FARM TREE RANCH Best prices and service: OVER 42 ACRES AND 5000 TREES Mail or Home delivery within Summit County 1 Year $48 2 Year $90 Mail delivery outside of Summit County 1 Year $72 2 Year $130 Home delivery within Salt Lake, Utah, Davis, Wasatch Counties 1 Year $72 2 Year $130 Call us today and ask for Lacy 435-649-9014 Landscape Lighting Water Features Outdoor Living Spaces Stone Steps Natural Landscapes TREES FROM 6 FT TO OVER 40 FT Apples • Aspens • Firs Maples • Mount Ash Spruces • Specimen 20 ft Colorado Spruce 4356022783 SALE $999 www.echotreeranch.com FREE CONSULTATION |
