KING SPANISH FORK In two major moves this week Spanish Fork city dads gave sanction to the of ficial 1958 budget following a public hearing and also voted approval on the closing of a street on a block In the northeast section oj town to aid a contemplated church construction. Aired prior to its council okeh, the budget outlined expenses totaling $462,175. Largest of these was the general fund allocation of the amount of $119,700. Other allocations listed in the breakdown were electric light fund, $157,725; waterworks fund, $65,000; garbage fund, $16,250; sewer fund, $23,500; sewage treatment fund, $10,000; special improvements fund, $21,500; cemetery fund, $7,250; irrigation fund, $6,000; memorial fund, $4,000; bond inEstimated revenue for IL A 13)11 In their other major action for the week, the council voted tentative approval on the dosing of Seventh North Street between Fourth and Fifth East. Purpose of this action would be makOg additional ground available for construction of a new stakehouse for the Palmyra LDS Stake. The unanimous council okeh of the street closing will be valid only in the event engineering tests show the property suitable for such a building project. Should this prove not feasible on the site involved, the street closing would then become void. City Treasurer Max Pinegar has tendered his resignation from this post to the group for the purpose of continuing his college education. The council has in accordance with this given notice that applications for the post of City Treasurer are now being received and may be filed until the date of Jan.
