Most women find tiat hobbies are rewarding in many ways. However, most hobbyists don't keep too many of their art pieces but give them away for gifts to bring beauty intojjhe lives of others. Gronman, of Provp, says that her hobbies of painting--witoils, ceramic and china painting gTew out. of the desire to learn. Mrs. Groneman is wlell known for Ecclesiastical paintings whicR hang in several churches and for many portraits. A native of Provo, Mrs. Grone man gains much satisfaction from her work, which she gives to her friends and relatives. Dixon Larson, of Orem, iepairs one of the chairs of TV room which she and her husband have decorated in an) African motif. Mrs. Larson also made a ceramic lamp! which adds to the atmosphere pftheToom. The room also; ma- features a table and chairs covered with 2ebra-lik- e teriaL The zebra effect material is accented on the top of a coffee table and on the lamps. The Larsons received; native masks from Africa in metal and carved wood which! lend to the theme. Mrs. Larson likes to paint along: with: her upholstery and ceramic work. j 0 j "Lost in a hobby" might express How engrossed Mrs. Elizabeth Gillespie of Provo becomfes in her hobby of water color painting. A. professional dressmaker and former school teacher, Mrs. Gillespie didn't start painting! until after she joined an artists group. She also paints with oils and does china painting.
